The other pages of this website detail the specific processes necessary
to create an extraordinary piece of furniture. This page is dedicated
to describing the client experience.
The design process begins with planning, and the most influential
person in planning is the client. This process will begin with an
initial consultation at the production site. This is where the client
is able to see work in progress, and explore different material
and finish types. It is advised that clients bring examples to their
initial consultation; a picture of a particular style of furniture,
carving, inlay, veneer, or finish is worth a thousand words.
After the initial consultation a production contract will be drawn,
after which (depending on the complexity of the project) blueprints
and actual samples of materials will be available for review within
three to four weeks. When the blueprints and materials have been
formally agreed upon, the materials will be ordered and production
will commence.
At crucial stages, the client may be consulted to ensure that the
client's expectations of the project are commensurate with actual
production. Final approval of the completed project will be requested
prior to the application of finish.* The last client inspection
is made prior to delivery.
* Photographs will be sent in the case of the client not being
able to personally inspect a project.
